My primary goal as an economics instructor is to cultivate students' intellectual curiosity while strengthening their critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities — motivating abstract models with real-world events and discussing their assumptions and implications in context. 作为经济学教师,我的首要目标是激发学生的求知欲,同时增强他们的批判性思考与解决问题的能力——以现实事件引入抽象模型,并在真实情境中讨论其假设与含义。

1Think critically批判性思考

I help students distinguish positive from normative reasoning and weigh competing economic arguments — using open-ended reflection assignments to evaluate the case for and against a policy.我帮助学生区分实证与规范分析,权衡相互竞争的经济论点,并通过开放式的反思性作业,评估某项政策的正反两面。

2Apply rigorously严谨应用

Concepts become skills only through practice. In upper-level and graduate courses I build in current research and econometrics, so students gain tangible data and coding skills to tackle real problems.概念唯有通过练习才能转化为能力。在高年级与研究生课程中,我融入前沿研究与计量方法,让学生掌握可迁移的数据与编程技能,以解决真实问题。
